Church News:
(1) Sunday, Dec. 7 is Glen Arbor's Vision Sunday and Church Potluck. We will be discussing Glen Arbor's vision as a church body for the coming year, and then celebrating a potluck together with a breaking of bread time afterwards. The Main dish and drinks will be provided for the potluck, so please bring a side dish or dessert to share. And don't forget to make enough for everyone to enjoy; there never seems to be enough deviled eggs to go around.
(2) Thank you everyone who participated in the Samaritan's Purse Christmas shoe box program. This year our church put together 69 gift boxes to be sent to children overseas to help them have a merry Christmas. That is by far the most we have every sent. Pray that God would bless the program and that He would be glorified through it.
(3) 36 more days until Faithwalkers. If you haven't considered going yet, please pray about it. This conference is for everyone, and will challenge you and encourage you to keep pressing on in the Christian walk. It begins two days after Christmas in Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri, and is over in time to be home for your New Years Eve party. Sign up now, and receive a $20 discount for registering early. To register, go to www.faithwalkersonline.net
(4) Great Commission Northwest will host a regional Couples Conference this winter on Feb. 20-21 at the Grand Harbor Resort in Dubuque, Iowa. Be sure to mark this on your calendar. More details will follow as they become available
(5) "Santa's Sleigh" Holiday gift program is back! Simple Gifts Foundation is once again asking for your help to provide Christmas gifts to underprivileged and developmentally disabled children in the West Chicago Area. To participate, simple go to the "Santa's Sleigh" board by the book table, pick a child's name (tell Paula who you chose), and purchase gifts using their needs and wish lists. Please bring all gifts to the church Office no later than Dec. 7.
